Bethany’s Disciple-Connect groups have a three-fold purpose:
- To grow together to maturity as disciples of Jesus Christ. We long for every member to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, and we labor together to that end through small-group Bible study and prayer. We may take a topic and study what the Bible teaches on that topic, or we may study through a particular book of the Bible, chapter by chapter. Currently most of our groups are reflecting on Sunday morning’s sermon and seeking to apply its message to daily life.
- To enrich our connection with one another. We long to truly know one another in the bonds of deep and rich fellowship. We share struggles with one another, encourage one another, and hold one another accountable in our walk with the Lord.
- To live on mission by reaching the lost with the gospel. We reach out to our family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers who are not in the church and seek to bring them into a DC group to study the Bible with us. We understand that, as disciples of Christ, we are to be making disciples, and these small groups are designed to equip us to be faithful and obedient to the Great Commission in our daily lives.
DC groups are designed for flexibility in both the time and the location of meetings. Each DC group determines the best time of the week for their weekly meeting.
