Worship
At Bethany worship is contemplative and warmly traditional, celebrating the historic hymns and embracing the newer songs of worship. Our Sunday worship service, which begins at 10:30 a.m., lasts about 75 minutes. When you arrive, park in the lot behind the building. Enter the building through the rear doors and go up one flight of stairs. There are signs to direct you to the sanctuary, but greeters will also help you to find your way around. Most people who attend Bethany wear business casual clothing. Some dress up, and others dress down. Wear what makes you comfortable and is respectful of a worship environment.
Children Under 3 During Worship
Nursery and young-preschool care are available for all services. We are very serious about the safety of our children at Bethany, and so all children’s ministry workers are trained annually and have background checks. We offer nursery for children through the age of 3. All childcare is optional, and parents are free to allow their children to sit with them throughout the service if they so desire.
Children During Worship
Our children ages 3 and above join their families during worship. On every Sunday, except the first Sunday of each month and other special occasions, children in this age group are invited to Children’s Worship during the sermon. Before the sermon begins, the Pastor will dismiss the children, and our children’s ministry leaders will take them to the preschool area until the end of the service. During this time, they will learn a Bible story and participate in activities designed to reinforce Biblical truths. Parents can then pick them up in the preschool area following the worship service. Children’s Worship is optional and not a requirement. Parents should feel free to allow their children to sit with them throughout the worship service.
